FAQ's
What should I bring to the retreat?
We recommend bringing: - Comfortable clothing for yoga, meditation, or relaxation. - Swimwear for the sauna and cold plunge. - A towel and robe or warm layers for in-between sessions. - A water bottle to stay hydrated. - Flip-flops or non-slip footwear. - A journal for reflection if desired. Please note, it is not recommended to wear jewellery or swimwear with metal fastenings in the sauna, as the metal can become very hot and may burn the skin.
How does the day retreat schedule work?
The retreat is thoughtfully structured to balance relaxation, rejuvenation, and connection. The schedule typically includes: Serenity Sound Bath: A deeply restorative sound experience featuring gongs, singing bowls, and other instruments. Sauna & Cold Plunge: Alternating rounds of detoxifying sauna sessions and invigorating cold plunges to reset your body and mind. Additional activities such as yoga, guided meditation, and free time for relaxation or reflection. A nourishing plant-based lunch to replenish your energy.
Is the retreat suitable for everyone?
Our retreats are designed to be inclusive and adaptable, but there are some exceptions: Saunas and cold plunge therapy may not be suitable for pregnant individuals or those with heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, or extreme temperature sensitivities. Gong baths and sound journeys are not recommended during pregnancy, if you have a life- limiting condition, a pacemaker, suffer from seizures, or any sound sensitive condition. If you have specific health concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before attending.
What are the benefits of the Serenity Sound Bath, sauna, and cold plunge?
Serenity Sound Bath: Promotes deep relaxation, clears mental clutter, and restores balance through the healing power of sound vibrations. Sauna & Cold Plunge: Detoxifies the body, boosts circulation, strengthens immunity, reduces inflammation, and enhances mental clarity. Together, these practices create a holistic experience that revitalizes the body, calms the mind, and nurtures the spirit.
Do I have to participate in all activities?
Not at all. While we encourage you to experience the full retreat, you’re welcome to opt out of any activities and enjoy the day at your own pace.
What should I expect during the Serenity Sound Bath?
You’ll relax comfortably on a futon or in a hammock while being immersed in the healing sounds of gongs, crystal bowls, and other instruments. The session is designed to help you let go of tension, connect with deeper levels of consciousness, and restore harmony.
How long will the sauna and cold plunge sessions last?
We guide you through 2–3 rounds of alternating sauna and cold plunge sessions. Each sauna round typically lasts 12–15 minutes, followed by a brief (30 seconds to 2 minutes) cold plunge. Timings can be adjusted based on your comfort.
Is food provided?
Yes! Refreshments, snacks and a delicious, plant-based lunch are included, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients to nourish and energize you.
What if I’m new to sound baths or sauna and cold plunging?
No prior experience is necessary! Our team will guide you through each activity, ensuring you feel comfortable and supported throughout the day.

Staying Safe & Well on the Farm
We are based on a working arable farm, there are times — just a few each year — when the surrounding fields are treated by the farmers. On these rare occasions, we temporarily close the space for a couple of days, to ensure that when you arrive, you are stepping into a truly safe and nourishing environment. We stay in communication with the farmers and plan our events to avoid treatment days whenever possible. Because treatments can sometimes be rescheduled at short notice (due to rain, wind, or crop timing), we may need to make a last-minute decision to close. If that ever happens: You will receive a full refund and also be offered a free rebooking as a thank you for your understanding Treatments generally happen just a few times a year, so this is a rare and well-managed occurrence. We take these decisions seriously, and always with your health and comfort in mind.
