FAQ's
What should I bring to the retreat?
We recommend bringing:
- Comfortable clothing for yoga, meditation, or relaxation.
- Swimwear for the sauna and cold plunge.
- Two towels, plus a dry robe, dressing gown or warm layers for in-between sessions.
- A water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Flip-flops or non-slip footwear.
- A journal for reflection if desired.
- Sturdy shoes for walking.
Please note, it is not recommended to wear jewellery or swimwear with metal fastenings in the sauna, as the metal can become very hot and may burn the skin.
How does the day retreat schedule work?
The retreat is thoughtfully structured to balance relaxation, rejuvenation, and connection. The schedule typically includes:
Surrender into Serenity: Immersive Sound Journey, a deeply restorative sound experience featuring gongs, singing bowls, and other instruments.
Sauna & Cold Plunge: Alternating rounds of detoxifying sauna sessions and invigorating cold plunges to reset your body and mind.
Additional activities include Kundalini yoga, guided meditation, breathwork, mantra singing and a silent disco with DJ Sol! These are interwoven with time for relaxation, stillness and reflection.
Is the retreat suitable for everyone?
Our retreats are designed to be inclusive and adaptable, but there are some exceptions:
Saunas and cold plunge therapy may not be suitable for pregnant individuals or those with heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, or extreme temperature sensitivities.
Gong baths and sound journeys are not recommended during pregnancy, if you have a life-
limiting condition, a pacemaker, suffer from seizures, or any sound sensitive condition.
If you have specific health concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before attending.
What are the benefits of these activities?
Surrender into Serenity: Immersive Sound Journey, promotes deep relaxation, clears mental clutter, and restores balance through the healing power of sound vibrations.
Sauna & Cold Plunge: Detoxifies the body, boosts circulation, strengthens immunity, reduces inflammation, and enhances mental clarity.
Together, these practices create a holistic experience that revitalises the body, calms the mind, and nurtures the spirit.
Do I have to participate in all activities?
While we encourage you to experience the full retreat, you’re welcome to opt out of any activities and enjoy the day at your own pace.
What should I expect during the Surrender into Serenity: Immersive Sound Journey?
You’ll relax comfortably on a futon or in a hammock while being immersed in the healing sounds of gongs, crystal bowls and other instruments. The session is designed to help you let go of tension, connect with deeper levels of consciousness and restore harmony.
How long will the sauna and cold plunge sessions last?
We guide you through 2–3 rounds alternating sauna and the cold plunge. Each sauna round typically lasts 12–15 minutes, followed by a brief (30 seconds to 2 minutes) cold plunge. Cold plunging is optional! Timings can be adjusted based on your comfort.
Is food and drinks provided?
Yes! A delicious, plant-based lunch is included, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients to nourish and energise you.
Healthy snacks and light refreshments such as herbal teas will also be available throughout the day.
If you have any food allergies please get in touch.
